Speakers: Christine Nielsen, MBA(C), BHA, MLT, CAE, Amanda VanSpronsen (MSc, BSc, MLT), Brandon Djukic, BSc, PhD and Valentin Villatoro, MEd (HSE), BSc (MLS), MLT

Christine Nielsen is the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science in 2010. She is a medical laboratory technologist, with education in health administration, association management and business. 

Amanda VanSpronsen is an associate professor in medical laboratory science at the University of Alberta, and her research interests include MLT professional development and appropriate laboratory utilization.

Brandon Djukic has been the CSMLS researcher since joining the organization in 2020. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy in chemistry. He is an experienced data analyst, and enjoys providing CSMLS with objective analyses regarding all matters of concern to the organization’s members.

Valentin Villatoro completed his MEd in Health Sciences Education, and he continues to build his expertise in pedagogy and ways to engage learners.
