Speaker: Paul Yip, PhD, FCACB, DABCC

Dr. Paul Yip is Division Head of Biochemistry at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto and is Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology of the University of Toronto. He is certified by the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry and the American Board of Clinical Chemistry. Dr. Yip’s academic interests focus on areas of test utilization, laboratory quality management and point-of-care testing. He has collaborated extensively with organizations including community laboratories, government bodies, and the diagnostic industry. He has served in numerous leadership positions and is currently the President of the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists.
