Speaker: Edwin Brindle

Ed Brindle holds a University Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from Glasgow Caledonian University, Masters in Biomedical Sciences at Napier University in Edinburgh UK and a Certificate in Quality Management with distinction at University of Manitoba. He is a currently a member of ASQ and is a licensed MLT with CMLTO and a member of CSMLS.

Ed has over 22 years’ experience as a Medical Lab Technologist in Hematology, Transfusion, Microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Quality Management, Cord Blood and Cellular Therapy and has served in various Technical and Managerial roles within UK and Canada. He is currently the Quality Manager for the BMT-IEC Program at University Health Network, Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, Ontario.

For over a decade, Ed has continued to represent Quality in the Clinical Laboratory and Cellular Therapy space and has presented at international scientific conferences and webinars related to Quality Operations, Cord Blood and Cellular Therapy. Closer to home he is a member of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and actively participates on the BMT Transplant, Lymphohematopoietic and Medical Laboratory National Standards. Ed continues to be an advocate for quality and loves to share his passion for continuous quality improvement to enable facilities to succeed and meet International Regulatory and Accreditation Standards.
