Description: The role of the Quality Manager is to lead the team to establish and maintain quality practices and a high level of patient care and safety. This session will address some of the most important responsibilities tied to the role of the Quality Manager:

  • Establishing and maintaining quality management plan,
  • Interpretation of regulations and standards,
  • Organizing and preparing external inspections,
  • Document management system,
  • Auditing, and
  • Management of non-conformances. 

The session will also address what skills are required for the Quality Manager role, how to be a good Quality Manager and to always lead the team to success.

Gordana graduated from School of Medicine, University of Zagreb, Croatia. She is currently Quality Compliance Program Manager for Blood and Marrow Transplant/Cellular Therapy Program, and for Solid Organ Transplant Centre at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto.
