Description: The learner will have a basic understanding of chemical, physical and ergonomic hazards in the laboratory and will be able to employ hazard controls to reduce risk of injury and illness.

Prerequisites: Laboratory Safety 1: Introduction, Overview, General Occupational Hygiene and Biosafety (4916-16)
Prior to attempting this course, it is suggested that the learner complete the following free, 30-minute course:

This course describes key features of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015. Similar training provided by an employer may be considered equivalent.
