Description: In this session we will discuss the pathophysiology of multiple sclerosis (MS)- and how this relates to current and potential biomarkers. Neuroimaging is the main biomarker used clinically, but fluid-based biomarker research (blood and CSF) has made tremendous advances. Blood based biomarkers that may be clinically and diagnostically useful are in the horizon; these will be explored critically.
