Description: Transfusion reactions can cause a lot of anxiety in transfusion medicine. No one wants the blood product that was matched and given the patient to do more harm than good. As lab staff, we understand that blood components are living tissues and can cause adverse reactions, so we need to be aware of the different types of adverse reactions, how they show up in the lab, and most importantly how to work them up and report them as required. This webinar will describe various transfusion reactions and how the laboratory works them up.
