Description: Every individual has the right to a safe and inclusive experience when accessing healthcare, no matter their race, religion, addictions, mental health status, accessibility challenges, sexual orientation, gender presentation or age. Lived experiences of those using our services should be heard and incorporated in tangible ways. Laboratory services are no exception. This webinar will highlight how to incorporate people-centered care, inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility into laboratory services. These concepts are a key component of hospital accreditation through Accreditation Canada, but perhaps have not had a high-profile for laboratory services. The time is right to foster a culture of true engagement and collaboration where patients, staff and users of lab services are active partners to improve outcomes. Let's learn how.
