Speaker: Lisa Gibbs cMLA/

Lisa Gibbs has been a licenced MLA since 2010 and after two short period of working in a hospital and an animal lab that tests blood on your pets she went on to build her career at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. She gained a lot of knowledge working their as she got to work with all different machines, in each discipline and even got to dabble with genetics and PCRs.  This all led to Lisa taking on some teaching roles more specifically in phlebotomy. She has been the lead instructor for 2 continuing education programs at Michener. One for phlebotomy and the other for medical lab technicians.

Currently Lisa is working as a technical specialist of specimen procurement at Mackenzie Health hospital where she is responsible for the on going operations of the MLA in the core lab as well as all the phlebotomists.
