Yes, that means you too - where you stand and where you sit, regardless of function, position or title. The evidence is clear, strong leadership in healthcare leads to better outcomes for patients and communities, and a culture of respect and retention for the health workforce. This applies to everyone, for all professions, and across the continuum . There are gold standard and best practice approaches to leadership development for individuals and at the organizational level that ensure optimal skills and collaboration. For professions who may not traditionally think of themselves as part of "leadership", this may come as a revelation.

Speaker: Alain Doucet, MBA

Alain Doucet brings over 30 years of senior leadership, marketing, business development and relationship-building experience to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian College of Health Leaders. 
 
Prior, he had a 14-year tenure at the University of Ottawa, Telfer School of Management. He has also been a VP Marketing and Communications, GM for a marketing and communications agency and was VP Marketing at ADVENTIS, a Boston-based global consultancy to the telecom, technology and information industries. 
 
Alain holds a BCom (Honours) from the University of Ottawa and an MBA (with Distinction) from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
