If there are several hats in the medical lab field, Joël’s probably worn them! Based out of Edmonton, AB, some of these hats include molecular bench technologist, allied health educator, simulation coordinator and hi-fi sim confederate (actorrr!), clinical work placement coordinator, Indigenous health curriculum developer, and clinical supervisor. He currently works as a system specialist, field applications II for DiaSorin Canada, positively influencing specialized diagnostic testing systems in hospitals across North America.

Joël is a 4-time LABCON presenter (Engaging Students on Social Media, Nonverbal Communications, Stress Management, and the Power of Positivity). He is distinctly honoured to have served on the CSMLS Board of Directors for 9 years, both as your AB/NT director and as president.

Brady Rose has used simulation in her didactic Clinical Chemistry course for ten years. She has also created, tested and embedded virtual simulations into clinical and didactic courses. As a nominee for Simulation Canada's SIM Citizenship Award, she advocates using simulation and creating a community of professional Simulationists within the Med Lab Profession.
